The robust engine doles out 260 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. When equipped with the EcoDiesel V-6 engine, the Ram 1500 boasts a maximum towing capacity of 12,560 pounds. This is the highest towing capacity for a half-ton diesel pickup truck. Additional engine options for the Ram 1500 include the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 (395-hp; 410 lb-ft of torque) and the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 (305-hp; 269 lb-ft of torque).

New Design Features and Color Options for the 2020 Ram 1500

The 2020 Ram 1500 offers a new Night Edition model with unique styling. This includes a monochromatic design, black badging, black wheels, and other exterior details. The Ram Rebel Black Appearance Group is making a comeback for the 2020 model-year. It includes a black skid plate, black wheels, and a choice of either a matching all-black or a red interior. The Longhorn trim now offers available two-tone 22-inch wheels, while the Rebel trim has exterior graphic upgrades. Also, the Ram 1500 has three new exterior color options: RV Match Walnut Brown, Hydro Blue, and Olive Green.

In addition to the new EcoDiesel engine and the new design elements, the 2020 Ram 1500 offers a new Rebel Safety Group. Features include Lane Departure Warning-Plus, Automatic High-beam Headlights, Forward Collision Mitigation, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
